Typical garment length
Most clothing in our range is approximately 24–26 cm (9.4–10.2 inches) long. This is general range guidance rather than a measurement for each individual design. It is separate from the intended statue height of 23 inches (approximately 58 cm). Garment length alone does not guarantee fit; contact us for the measurements of a particular outfit.
If you have ever ordered an outfit for your porch goose and found it hanging loose, or not going over the head at all, you know size matters. Here is how to check before you buy.
What size are SkeleGoose outfits made for?
Every SkeleGoose outfit is made for the standard 23-inch (58 cm) porch goose statue. That is the classic size you see on front porches across the U.S., and it comes in two common versions:
- Plastic (blow-mold) geese: lightweight and hollow, easy to move around.
- Cement or concrete geese: heavy and sturdy, and they stay put in the wind.
Our outfits fit both versions, as long as the goose is about 23 inches tall.
How to measure your goose
- Stand the goose on a flat surface.
- Measure from the bottom of the base to the top of the head.
- If you get roughly 23 inches (58 cm), SkeleGoose outfits are sized for your goose.
If your goose is much smaller (for example, a 12- to 15-inch mini goose) or much larger, our outfits will not fit properly.
Is the goose included?
No. Unless a listing says "Statue with Outfit," you are buying the outfit only. We also sell a few statues if you need a goose to dress.
How do the outfits go on?
Each outfit slips over the goose's head and drapes over the body. Most designs fasten with hook-and-loop closures, which makes dressing and undressing easy. Hats and accessories sit on top of the head.
